Regency Costumes

  • 23 Victoria Street Clayfield Qld 4011 Australia (map)

Our guest speaker, Kate Ferrett from University of Queensland, has kindly agreed to present her talk originally scheduled for our July meeting that was unfortunately cancelled due to lockdown.

Kate has had a long term interest in Regency Costume and presented a very informative talk to JASA Brisbane in 2015. We will be interested to hear Kate’s assessment of the costumes in the recent controversial adaptations of Emma and Sanditon.

Please note COVID Restrictions for this meeting:

  • Masks are compulsory. Please bring your mask and wear it when entering, leaving or moving around the hall. You may remove it when seated.

  • You will be required to ‘Check in’ using the ‘Check in Qld’ app on entry. If you don’t have a smart phone with the app installed, there will be committee members available to assist.

  • Chairs will be set out to allow for one person per 2 square metres. Please do not move your chairs closer together.

  • No afternoon tea will be served due to hygiene and social distancing requirements. Please bring your own water bottle and pen.
